Schloss Dagstuhl, the famous German hosting facility for dedicated high-quality research seminars on topics around computer science, hosted a seminar on “Building Privacy-Preserving Technologies of Societal Impact” on July 27 – August 1, 2025. Including a large group of experts from all around the world, multiple topics around Multi-Party Computation schemes and applications, as well as GDPR-relevant PETs and implementation aspects were discussed. Herein, TRUMAN project partner Karlstad University was represented by two dedicated invited experts: Prof. Simone Fischer-Hübner spoke about the “Challenges of making PETs with societal impact
usable & trustworthy”, and Prof. Meiko Jensen discussed “MPC and PETs
from a GDPR Perspective”.
